Shore Works ("we," "our") operates the Shore Works Catalog (shoreworksnj.com), a directory of South Jersey businesses, and Review Collector, a tool that helps businesses ask their own customers for feedback and Google reviews by email and text message. This policy covers both.
Information we collect
- Catalog listings — business name, category, location, and contact details submitted by a business owner to appear in the directory.
- Account information — the email address and password of anyone who creates a Shore Works or Review Collector account.
- Customer contact information (Review Collector) — the name, email, and/or phone number a business owner enters in order to send their own customer a review request. This is provided directly by the business, not collected by us from any other source.
- Message and response data — when a customer opens a review request and submits a rating or comment, we store it so the business owner can see it.
How we use this information
We use customer contact information solely to deliver the review-request message a business owner sends (by email and/or SMS) and to route the customer's response back to that business. We do not use this information for our own marketing, and we do not sell it.
SMS / mobile information
We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected through Review Collector are used only to send the review-request text on behalf of the business that entered them, and for standard delivery/compliance handling by our messaging provider (Twilio).
Message frequency varies (typically one message per customer interaction). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to a message at any time to opt out of further messages, or reply HELP for help.
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers required to operate our services: our database/hosting providers, our email provider (Resend), and our SMS provider (Twilio). None of these providers are permitted to use the data for their own marketing purposes.
Data retention
Listing, account, and customer contact information are retained for as long as the associated account remains active, or until the account owner deletes the record.
Your choices
Customers can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. Business owners can delete customer records from their own dashboard at any time.
